Claudia has over twenty years’ experience in legal and environmental compliance advising clients such as the IUCN, USAID, TNC, Marviva, Nestle, Coca Cola, GDF Suez, AES, Alstom and Bavaria Group. She specialises specifically in international environmental law and has drafted many environmental laws for Panama as well as other countries in Latin America including, Costa Rica, Colombia and Uruguay.
Claudia’s strong academic foundation has equipped her with comprehensive knowledge and a deep understanding of the legal and environmental aspects of conservation, biodiversity, ESG, climate change, and international environmental conventions. One of Claudia’s assets is her ability to adapt to different environments and work with people from different cultures and countries as she has always been exposed to working in different languages and cultures. Claudia has worked in various countries including Brussels, Belgium where she did an internship at the European Commission in the Energy and Transport Directorate. Also, she worked in Warsaw, Poland in Lukowicz and Partners law firm helping with the analysis of the European Union legislation in biotechnology. As well as a researcher at the IUCN law Centre in Bonn, Germany, where she carried out a research on Genetically Modified Organisms which ended with the writing of an article.
In relation to Panamanian law, Claudia advises on all aspects of commercial, private wealth, funds work and environmental law. As an associate for Lexstone Lawyers in Jersey, Channel Islands, she worked with clients focusing on commercial and residential property transactions.
