Rupert brings a wealth of experience to his role advising individuals, families, and businesses on philanthropy and charitable giving. Following a long and successful career in financial services, Rupert is uniquely positioned to guide clients through both the financial and strategic complexities of philanthropy. His expertise includes helping clients align their giving with their financial goals, structuring new charitable initiatives with strong governance and ethical foundations, and providing ongoing reviews of long-established charitable organisations. Over the years he has built up an extensive network of likeminded contacts in the sector that can be called on to help when assistance is needed.
Rupert also serves as a trustee—and Treasurer—of two charities based in Manchester and Bolton (The Sir Bobby Charlton Foundation and Age UK), where his financial expertise is used to its fullest extent. His work in these roles reflects his deep belief that strong governance and financial prudence are essential to maximizing charitable impact.
As they say, charity starts at home and ever since his daughter Polly was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, Rupert has been actively involved in charitable work for this cause (through Breakthrough Type 1D) and he has dedicated himself to supporting causes close to his heart—running eight London Marathons and organizing numerous fundraising events, raising over £100,000 for charity to date.
