Sarah is a respected and accredited psychotherapist offering general psychotherapy and specialising in complex relationships, psychosexual therapy and trauma recovery through EMDR. She works with both individuals and couples. Her extensive training and years of psychotherapeutic experience working with complicated relationships, difficult family dynamics, high-stakes separations and cases involving complex personality issues, gives her a unique understanding of the nuances involved in transition, separation and divorce.
Sarah draws upon her background in the corporate sector enabling her to uniquely support clients through challenging personal and professional transitions. Having worked with a wide variety of clientele across different arenas – from professionals in the legal sector to those in the international arts scene and other high-profile fields – Sarah is recognised for her bespoke approach to guiding clients through complex, emotionally charged situations.
Her decision to become a psychotherapist is the result of a life-long interest in how individuals and couples can overcome obstacles to reach their potential, whether those are challenges in the workplace, family life or in intimate relationships.
Following years of experience helping individuals and couples with their relationship issues, it became clear to Sarah that there was a crucial need to guide people through the act of separation and divorce, particularly in cases that involve difficult personality issues and complex family law matters. She has a particular interest in how children are impacted by separation and divorce and works with clients to preserve the parent/child relationships.
Sarah’s focus is on fostering resilience and helping individuals maintain clarity and integrity, particularly in the face of challenging family dynamics. This includes addressing the emotional and practical stressors of separation, divorce and transitions that impact family systems and relationships.
In her practice, Sarah uses a comprehensive “top-down/bottom-up” approach, where day-to-day behavioural strategies are combined with deeper explorations of underlying issues. This method ensures clients find tangible, immediate support while addressing the core complexities at play. Her work emphasises safeguarding mental health, strengthening family bonds and maintaining child-centred perspectives in challenging cases.
With a personal understanding of navigating complex family law matters, Sarah draws on her own experiences to provide strategic support that empowers clients to stay centred, establish firm boundaries and foster healthier relationships. Her work often involves the development of communication strategies that preserve emotional health and provide invaluable support for legal proceedings.
Sarah’s commitment to her clients is further reflected in her extensive media presence, with contributions to major outlets like The Guardian, The Times, BBC News, HuffPost and Wired. Accredited by UKCP and COSRT, Sarah is also a thought leader in her field. Her practice is guided by a genuine dedication to helping clients regain their sense of self and build a constructive path forward, especially during life’s most difficult transitions.
